Description Ted Marynicz 2008-05-27 13:41:20 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Opening an existing file with a Windows long filename gets saved as a short filename in uppercase - e.g. opening 'Rain Wobble.gnumeric' gets saved as 'RAINWO~1.GNU'. Also this short filename is shown on the program title frame.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open existing file with long filename
2. Make any change to the content
3. Click the File Save icon and exit.

Actual results:
Filename is changed as described

Expected results:
Filename remains unaltered

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
Under Windows XP SP2
