Comment 3 Michael Monreal 2008-05-25 13:16:16 UTC
and still with 0.99.2

The edit button is insensitive because there are no properties to edit. That's intentional.

What exactly would you like to edit about the FLAC profile? It's a lossless format. There are some properties that can be set on the encoder, but opted not to expose them originally to avoid confusing users.

Anything in particular?

I don't really need this functionality at all but I noticed it because I was interested in the gst pipleline used by the flac encoding the other day and was hoping to see this for flac the same as I can see it for ogg. But of cause this is not a valid use case at all ;)

I think that what would help would be the possibility to adjust the compresion level at ripping. Some older "mp3" players can't decode flac files compressed with maximum compression level. For example i still have an older iAudio U3 that can play flac files with compression level 2. I would like to be able to set the compression rate from the interface instead of the cmd line.
