Evolution: Beginning of the week is wrong in russian version
Last modified: 2008-03-19 17:11:03 UTC
In russian version of EVOLUTION: (sorry, i don'know english menu titles) in the Calendar/Meeting properties/repeation of the meeting menu, if the beginning of the week is set in Evo's Options to Monday (as it is normal in Russia) - the strings remain to stay in the old order (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday...), But the buttons function as they should th (Monday, Wednesday...) Huh. 2 hours so far to find out that I was'n my fault of the meeting werid moving around))) by the way, Their Outlook is much more narrow=) Distribution: Debian lenny/sid Gnome Release: 2.20.3 2008-01-12 (Debian) BugBuddy Version: 2.20.1
don't know if this is a (g)libc issue, an evo code issue or a russian translation issues. reassigning this to the russian translation team...
It's a glibc issue that was fixed somewhere on the way to glibc-2.6. First of all please check that panel applet for calendar starts from Monday.

By the way, setting up the beginning of the week to Tuesday in Evolution Prefs makes the repeating windows to start a week with Wednesday.
Oh, sorry. There was such problem in 2.20: #. The first letter of each day of the week starting with Sunday #: ../calendar/gui/weekday-picker.c:319 msgid "SMTWTFS" msgstr "ПВСЧПСВ" But it was fixed in 2.22 due to major rework in bug #392747. So this problem must be fixed already. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 392747 ***
