Description Brian Bourke-Martin 2008-01-30 16:35:34 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When attempting to download episodes of a podcast (specifically NPR's cartalk) with the podcast directy set to a fat32 mounted partition, the progress bar read "wait" indefinitely. As it turns out, there was an illegal character in the podcast directory which had been attempted to create (namely "NPR: cartalk").

Steps to reproduce:
1. Mount a fat32 partition
2. Set podcast directory to somewhere in this mount.
3. Attempt to download podcast from NPR (ie: http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510208)

Actual results:
The progress bar is set to wait indefinitely without any feedback.

Expected results:
One of two things. 1) A simple failure message explaining the illegal character issue or 2) replacement/omission of the illegal character and continue as normal.

Does this happen every time?
Yes
