GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 507355
Blank dropdown windows persist.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:58:36 UTC
Greetings. I've searched for something like this bug in v 2.2.2 for windows but haven't seen anything exactly like this. What happens is I end up with blank leftover menu dropdown dialog boxes from the toolbar in the main screens of v 2.2.2. They sort of cluster together and accumulate. When the program window is minimized, one can see small GnuCash boxes lining up along the top of the windows taskbar. There doesn't seem to be any slowdown in the performance of the program but I do notice when I'm scrolling up and down in a ledger type window (within various accounts), the window draws strangely and at times doesn't fill in the page until I move the scroll bar a bit more. I don't know if these issues are related but I thought that was also worth mentioning. The cluster at the top of the page disappear when I activate the menu items again but recur when I minimize the program window again. I've made some cropped screenies to submit but don't see option here to upload. :/ This has only been in v 2.2.2. If there's any other info I can provide, please let me know. Thanks! My computer is: Dell XPS 600 Windows Vista 64 4 gigs ram Nvidia Geforce 7600 512mb vid card Dell 24" flat panel.

related to bug #505928. this bug has the pretty pictures so even though it's a duplicate of bug #504646, I'll close the other. Discussion in bug #504646 confirms this happens in XP2 SP2 as well, pointing to it being a gtk bug.

Thanks for the screenshots. That makes it easier to identify. So yeah, it turns out this is a bug that I fixed a couple weeks ago in bug #504984. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 504984 ***
