Description Jaakko Seppälä 2007-12-05 22:52:30 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I opened my master thesis http://cs.helsinki.fi/u/jjseppal/gradu.pdf with evince. I had opened a terminal to run metacity because there is some problems with my window manager system. The output was:

Window manager warning: Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0 for 0x2600003 (Evince Doc)
Window manager warning: meta_window_activate called by a pager with a 0 timestamp; the pager needs to be fixed.

Steps to reproduce:
Open terminal and run metacity. Then open some pdf-document with Firefox 2.0.0.6. Choose Open file (Document Viewer (default)). It looks like the same problem won't arise if you have evince opened and you open another document by Firefox.

Actual results:

Expected results:
No window manager warning.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.
