Description rwxr-xr-x 2007-11-25 02:17:32 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In the Save As dialog, when I select a directory from the list on the left (one I've added myself or my home or Desktop directory), the current contents of the filename box are lost. I think this is a Gtk+ problem because it happens in firefox and gimp.

Steps to reproduce:
1. start gimp
2. open some image file
3. File>Save as...
4. doubleclick on e.g. Desktop

Actual results:
the Name: field is cleared

Expected results:
the Name: field keeps its contents

Does this happen every time?
It happens semi-regularly, e.g. I can't reproduce it in firefox right now; and for some images I have to do it twice, i.e. doubleclick Desktop again. This seems to "work" for all images in gimp.

Works to me here for both gimp and firefox. Can you say what version of gtk+ are you using? And also, could you reproduce this bug in other applications?
