GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 487840
Smart bookmarks are counted as regular bookmarks
Last modified: 2007-10-18 16:42:42 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deskbar-applet/+bug/70241 "... It seems that when configuring the order of results, when positioning the "Web Bookmarks" plugin, the "Web Searches" results are moved along with it. I believe this is caused by the fact that the Smart Bookmarks defined in Epiphany are counted as regular bookmarks. For example, when positioning Web Bookmarks plugin above the Beagle plugin, the "Search Google for foo" appears above "Search for foo using Beagle". ... His description is a little unclear. What he means, is that because there are fewer categories than plugins, the order of plugins isn't completely followed. This is, if you have your web-bookmarks as first-search-result and your web-searches as last, they both be first, because their category (web) will be first. This is a wishlist-bug. But I do agree, I too find it annoying that yahoo-search-results, bookmarks and websearches are put together in a category. You would want the yahoo-results (which always came a little later) to be the last thing on the result list, whereas your bookmarks and history the first thing. ..."
