thanks for the bugreport! could you try to see if the camera works with "gstreamer-properties"?
I have the same problem and the answer is NO, the webcam does not work with gstreamer-properties either. It's an iSight (macbook) camera.
i suppose you have tried your isight with the 2.6.22 kernel. on that, isight doesnt work with gstreamer, but it does with ekiga. i have the same problem here, so im staying on the 2.6.20 kernel.
this is a gstreamer related bug
