GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 476627
evince prints the red hyperlink boxes of pdf files
Last modified: 2008-05-05 13:53:15 UTC
Evince marks the hyperlink, bookmarks,... in pdf files using a red box. These boxes should be used only for digital documents, and should disappear in a ps file or when the pdf file is printed. Right now when the pdf document is printed or converted with evince to postcript, the red boxes remain. Xpdf does not have this problem and removes correctly the marks. I can provide examples of a typical pdf file (produced with pdflatex using the hyperref package) and the ps file.
Confirm.
I've just fixed it in svn trunk. However, I also had to do changes in poppler, so this requires latest poppler from git. Thank you very much for reporting.
I just tried it and it works, thanks ! Now I don't have to keep both a ps and pdf version anymore. You really the git version from http://poppler.freedesktop.org/ : the svn version from evince http://live.gnome.org/Evince/GettingEvince isn't fresh enough.

Has this bug been fixed in an official release ? I'm using Ubuntu Gusty and the latest package from the repos (2.20.1-ubuntu1) still has this problem. Julien.
