Icon in the notifications is not resized when resize panel

If we were using GtkStatusIcon instead of the egg tray icon, we could listen to the ::size-changed signal
Anyone out there work on this bug? It's been nearly a year.

Reviving this bug, since Rhythmbox is the only icon in my notification area that appears significantly smaller than all the rest. My panel is set to 36px. This is important for those of us with very small, high-resolution screens. I don't understand why this is, since Rhythmbox has a nice SVG icon.
Try this steps: 1. Open Rhythmbox; 2. Increase panel size (example: 50px) 3. Note that Rhythmbox's icon in notification area not changes its size. Volume Applet and NetworkManager Applet do.
