GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 466338
show webpage title and favicon instead of the address
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:43:17 UTC
This bug has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomboy/+bug/126726 "Binary package hint: tomboy Hi, I would like to see the following in Tomboy: there already is a bugzilla plugin that shows the bugzilla icon and bug number instead of the address. I had thought of something similar but more general purpose, that would retrieve the page title and favicon of a given address, and show them instead of the address. I think it would make notes look cleaner, but I'm aware that it would be difficult to realise. So I just wanted to throw the idea." There's a couple of mockups too in the bug at launchpad.
Comment from Jose Alberto on bug #356747 (which I'm marking as a dupe of this bug): i hate have a note full of lilnks like: http://www.foooooo.com/hjklong/longurl/longlong/articles/cache/32-09-06/9876543.html can be nice if you can select this long url (right button?) to assing a "title" so you only see the link title, and a lil icon (chain?) to know it is an external link.
