Description Dave Malcolm 2006-12-12 16:42:35 UTC
Yelp can now display graphical renderings of manpages and infopages.

It would be if gnome-terminal's context menu detected if the selected word had a manpage/info page, and if so offered had actions to "Open <tt>man</tt> page for <tt>foo</tt>", "Open <tt>info</tt> page for <tt>foo</tt>", which would launch yelp at the appropriate place.

Better than that, we should support dragging selected text out of the terminal.
And then someone writes a Open A Document In Yelp applet which accepts text/plain drags and opens yelp accordingly.

That would work marvels for a Read This Text Aloud applet, and many others.

(Putting every conceivable thing/service in the context menu is not going to work...)

I'll change the summary.
