What were you doing when the application crashed?
when a message is selected and the low panel is visible, the preview message appear with the view port showing it's last parts.

The normal behavior is to display from the begin and then scroll down while read.

Manuel, I am pretty sure this is a duplicate of bug 272708 or a similar one.
Can you please verify this? If I am wrong, please feel free to re-open this
report immediately.

Your issue most likely is, that you accidentally enabled View / Caret Mode,
which can be enabled (actually toggled) by hitting F7.

If you disable View / Caret Mode, does this solve your problem?


(Note: Maybe named  View / Cursor Mode  now, not sure exactly.)
