Version: 2.0.3 What were you doing when the application crashed? I restartet the GNOME Session and Ekiga was "part of it". Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-10-02 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0 Memory status: size: 129847296 vsize: 0 resident: 129847296 share: 0 rss: 24637440 rss_rlim: 0 CPU usage: start_time: 1161618877 rtime: 0 utime: 273 stime: 0 cutime:247 cstime: 0 timeout: 26 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 0 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/ekiga' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance! Seems to be a possible pwlib issue.

This has been reported upstream : http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1588525&group_id=80674&atid=560612 However, without debug symbols, it will be hard to solve.

No move upstream :-/
Damien, is there no equivalent of ekiga-dbg we can install to collect useful stack traces? It doesn't take up much space on my machine so I'd love to just always be running debug versions of my main apps.
We have -dbg packages for the cvs snapshots. And for the stable, we have -dbg for libpt and libopal.

I discussed with Robert and we found a possible cause for the crash. It has been committed to HEAD and Phobos. If it doesn't fix the crash, please reopen.
