Description david w 2006-10-17 22:13:04 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
WhenI want to read a mail, it automatically scrolls to the bottom of this mail.
If then I scroll to the top of the mail (or sometimes if I click with the wheel on the top scroll bar), it automaticaly scrolls back to the bottom. If I do this one more time, then it works.

If I wait 1 or 2 seconds, I can scroll to the top without the mail scrolls down.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into
our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you
find.

David, I am pretty sure this is a duplicate of bug 272708 or a similar one.
Can you please verify this? If I am wrong, please feel free to re-open this
report immediately.

Your issue most likely is, that you accidentally enabled View / Caret Mode,
which can be enabled (actually toggled) by hitting F7.

If you disable View / Caret Mode, does this solve your problem?

(Maybe named View / Cursor Mode now, not sure exactly.)

You're right(I'm french, so it wasn't named so, but F7 goes) :)
I'm very impressed by the reactivity you have ;)

Keep doing your good job.

Maybe a suggestion: in the bug report tool, we can't see if a similar bug was already reported, but I remains I saw this feature on the past.

Well, true, I believe. However, bug-buddy (the GNOME wide bug reporting tool) isn't meant for filing all bugs, bug automatically getting good reports about crashes (critical issues). Yes, this changed fairly recently...

To report general issue, feel free to use the bugzilla web-frontend.
