Description Jaime Frutos Morales 2006-07-30 22:45:12 UTC
It would be nice that deskbar-applet could search the desktop for files with a Creative Commons license (or any other kind of license). Files could be displayed in groups depending on the kind of license they have and showing the CC icons next to the license name.

This could be done modifying the Tracker handler after the metadata spec is modified (http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards_2fshared_2dfilemetadata_2dspec ) and a "License" field is added to every first class object.

IMHO this bug should not be closed as a duplicate of bug #349815 . They are completely different because this enhancement searches the user's files for CC licensed content, while the #349815 searches the web for CC licensed content. I think this bug should be reopened.
