Description Lukas Sabota 2006-07-26 02:21:04 UTC
Currently, one has two choices of what folder to use as the desktop. By default, ~/Desktop is used. However, if the desktop_is_home_dir key is set, the home directory is used as the Desktop.

A more flexible way of doing this would be to a gconf key, perhaps desktop_dir, that defaults to ~/Desktop. That way, people can set the Desktop directory to anything they'd like. This is also nice for people that prefer a lowercase directory structure in $HOME.
