Description Eric Bair 2006-07-17 21:50:27 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I tried to import qfx or ofx files using gnucash 2.0, all the spaces in the transaction description are removed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gnucash.
2. Select File->Import OFX/QFX
3. Assign each transaction to the appropriate account and category
4. Open the ledger for the account that was imported

Actual results:
The transaction descriptions appears as follows:
6/30/2006: "CreditInterest"
07/02/2006: "ExternalWithdrawalTHESTUDENT"

Expected results:
There should be spaces in the transaction descriptions:
6/30/2006: "Credit Interest"
07/02/2006: "External Withdrawal THE STUDENT"

Does this happen every time?
As far as I can tell, yes.

Other information:
I don't think I had this problem in 1.9.8; I didn't notice that this was happening until 2.0. However, I could be mistaken about this. I tried importing two different ofx files and one qfx file under 2.0, and I encountered this problem on each of the three files.
