GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 346003
Allow multiple folders as "Library Location"
Last modified: 2009-04-13 10:43:35 UTC
It would be great if media Library feature could be expanded to support multiple locations instead of just one. Additionally, nice feature would be that one could specify what extensions would be included/excluded from media Library, for example included: * excluded: *.wma; *.aac;
The backend already supports this (and can be set with the gconf key /apps/rhythmbox/library_locations), it's just we don't have any UI for it. If someone can come up with some decent UI, that doesn't make it more complicated for people who only have one folder, it's likely to get done.
Can you explain why you'd like to be able to specify included/excluded extensions? It doesn't seem very useful to me.
I installed pitfdll cvs plugins which support .rm format. However .rm support is not good enough to use right now. I don't want to uninstall piffdll just because of .rm. So I would like to filter out .rm files when importing.
