Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-05-27 23:09:28 UTC
That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/control-center/+bug/45577

"There is no easy way to control the volume of system-event- sound relativ to other sounds.

This is annoying, as system-sounds-are mostly much louder than sound from other applications like media-players, unless you turned all their volumes to 100%, but even in this case, system-sounds are nearly always markable louder.
(And having all applications volume set to 100% is a loose of function, you can't control the volume of a single application then....)

So I propose to include a volume control in gnome-sound-properties for the sound-events.

In the simplest case one for all, or even better one control for each event."
