GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 332298
Icons not properly aligned when dragged to desktop
Last modified: 2012-09-19 22:08:17 UTC
Please describe the problem: When you drag icons from some folder to the desktop, the icons are not aligned in a grid even if you have auto-alignment set in the context menu Steps to reproduce: 1. Open some folder in Nautilus 2. drag an icon in the vicinity of an existing on and place it maybe a few pixel to the left 3. the icon is surely not aligned correctly Actual results: The file is placed exactly where I wanted it to be and not on the grid Expected results: Align the icons properly on the grid Does this happen every time? yes Other information: See the bugreport in launchpad on Ubuntu: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/32577
Yes, we're using another grid for drag layout than for "clean up by name" layout, which may be a bad idea. We also have multiple related issues ATM, one of it being discussed in http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2006-February/msg00098.html
