Description Donald Straney 2006-02-17 19:45:41 UTC
Maybe there should be an "arrangement" property of the GtkIconView widget
(GtkVertical or GtkHorizontal) that specifies whether the elements are arranged
primarily in rows, with a fixed width and variable height (as it is now), or in
columns, with a fixed height and variable width? This could be useful in file
managers, for example. Sorry, I would provide a patch, but I've looked over
gtkiconview.c and can't figure it out.

Reopening, because the other (vague) bug has been closed as a duplicate of a Nautilus bug, and this ability still does not exist in GtkIconView.

Sorry, I was wrong about that.
