Description Steve Frécinaux 2005-08-14 14:10:05 UTC
Distribution/Version: Gentoo

The wizard dialog (the one which pop up on first launch) is way too large to be
usable on a 800x600 screen. Anyway I think it could easily be rearranged to be
ok, for example by re-using the tabbed interface of preferences.

I guess 800x600 is a bit small in today standards (wasn't so four years ago) so we can close this bug as obsolete...

Well...see bug #594327! Netbooks seem to be mostly 1024x600, so getting the height down is still an issue. I've committed a version that is rendered at its natural (i.e., minimal) size, which on my laptop comes to 607x553.

At the time when this bug was filed, Balsa used GnomeDruid for the dialog, and now it uses GtkAssistant. I'm guessing that making a minimal dialog works better now--I seem to remember that squeezing it down looked like a major task back then.

Changing the resolution to (belatedly :) fixed...
