Description Olafur Ingolfsson 2005-07-19 20:40:30 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Rotated text in a cell or merged cells jumps out of the cell and rotates in
unexpected direction. The latter has more to do with what I am used to, the
former is a bug.
I am using Windows XP

Steps to reproduce:
1. write text in a cell
2. Right click
3. format cells
4. Rotate text

Actual results:
The text rotates in ´wrong´ direction (compared to excel)
The text is placed outside of the cell

Expected results:
Iwould expect text entered inside a cell to stay there

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
Yes, in Microsoft office, the F4 buttons means ´repeat last action´ (actually a
quite useful function). In Gnumeric the program always crashes.
Comment 1 Morten Welinder 2005-07-20 00:46:57 UTC
Rotation direction is bug 171631.
I am guessing that the placement problem is caused by the same thing.

F4 is supposed to work. Any messages on the console when it crashes?
Comment 2 Olafur Ingolfsson 2005-07-20 09:07:21 UTC
No messages on the console except for some warnings due to my choice of
Icelandic as the main language.
I have now tryed this on two windows computers, the same thing happens, but
this seems to be related to the 'border' options.
'F4' seems to work with other functions.
1. select any cell
2. Press the 'borders' button (it doesn't matter what type of border)
3. Select any other cell
4. Press 'F4'
Crash
Comment 3 Morten Welinder 2005-07-20 13:14:32 UTC
Crash confirmed.

Fixed in cvs.
