Description Jed Eichel 2005-06-10 19:46:57 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Operating system:  Windows ME
Application:  Gnumeric 1.4.3

When the application is opened, two windows open up: a DOS prompt window, and
the gnumeric window, which looks just like the sample start-up window in the
gnumeric users manual, except that where there should be a grid of cells there
is a vast empty space.

Steps to reproduce:
1.download and install gnumeric 1.4.3 into windows ME
2. start gnumeric app
3. scratch head

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
If I fiddle around with the program at all, say by changing format or trying to
import data, the DOS prompt displays something like this:

(gnumeric.exe): Pango-WARNING **:  SetGraphicsMode() failed
