Description Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2005-04-27 13:30:55 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu 5.04

Steps to reproduce:
1. From the login screen, click "Session...".
2. Look at the list of sessions.

What you see, among other options):
*   "Last"
*   "Default System Session"

These options aren't useful, because (a) they're redundant with one or two of
the other options, and (b) you're not told what "sessions" they are.

Instead, I suggest:
* the last session used should just be pre-selected when you open the dialog,
    rather than being a separate item;
* the default setting should be shown next to the session name (for example,
    "Gnome (default)"), rather than being a separate item.

are you sure that's a duplicate? that bug is about the session, the other one about the language
Comment 5 Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2006-07-18 10:01:50 UTC
Yes, different bugs (though some elements of the fixes may be similar).
Comment 6 Brian Cameron 2006-07-18 18:09:37 UTC
Closing this bug again as a duplicate. I've updated the other bug to more
clearly highlight the differences in this bug report. Thanks for noticing this.

The other bug contains discussion which applies to both bugs that should be
considered before making a change here. It's easier to have one bug that to
duplicate the discussion here.
