Description John Haiducek 2004-04-03 22:35:35 UTC
I'd like to be able to select several appointments at once, by doing
shift+click, so I can do things like copy and paste multiple appointments
from one date to another, delete several appointments at once, etc.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2004-08-28 01:56:34 UTC
still valid for evolution1.5-1.5.91.0.200407250730-0.snap.ximian.8.1.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2005-07-15 21:00:19 UTC
one even cannot do this in list view.
so it's not possible at all currently, as immediately the text field gets input
focus.

running 2.3.5.1
Comment 3 André Klapper 2005-07-15 21:09:15 UTC
well, but if i take a look into

http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/evolution/calendar/gui/dialogs/delete-comp.c?r1=1.23&r2=1.23.4.1

there are obviously strings to pop up when deleting multiple appointments:

Are you sure you want to delete "
        "%d appointments?"

so where is the code refering to/pointing on this? after searcing in the code
for the id, nowhere i guess. :-(

Bumping version to a stable release.
Comment 9 André Klapper 2012-01-26 21:42:15 UTC
This works with Shift and Ctrl + click in Evolution version 3.2 in the list view, but not in the day view.
John: Does that fulfil your needs?
Comment 10 Brian Kerrick Nickel 2012-01-27 05:40:10 UTC
8 years and (somewhat) fixed by coincidence? *sigh*

Comment 17 Marco van Veen 2016-01-13 17:17:40 UTC
I'm using Evolution version 3.12.9, the missing ability to select more than one event in any view is annoying when importing / editing multiple events.

This bug still persists after nearly 12 years and 9 other bug reports being merged. Still showing the bug state "NEW".

The allrounder and standard pim-application of the GNOME desktop can do better :)
Comment 18 André Klapper 2016-01-13 22:09:27 UTC
Marco van Veen: Without unlimited manpower and in an issue tracking system where anybody can come up with feature requests, age of a report is entirely irrelevant. Relevant for progress is that you provide a patch. Please contribute to do better: https://wiki.gnome.org/Git/Developers . Thanks.

Comment 20 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:44:37 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
