Description Collin Starkweather 2003-12-10 21:28:09 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem: The calendar does not display anything though the
entries are there. I know they're there because the alarm notifies me of
appointments and they show up when I do a print preview.

None of the Day, Work Week, Week, or Month view work.

I have tried to remove the files in ~/evolution/local/Calendar and
~/evolution/views/calendar then restarting Evolution so that it recreates a
set of default files but even the newly-created default files would not
display properly.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Explode the tarball I will attach to this bug ticket after submitting it
into ~/evolution/local/Calendar and ~/evolution/views/calendar.
2. Open Evolution.
3. Click on Calendar. Try to view the Day, Work Week, or any of the views.

Actual Results: The calendar does not display any of my appointments.

Expected Results: The calendar should display my appointments.

How often does this happen? Consistently

Additional Information: I will attach a tarball with appropriate files for
testing and a screenshot presuming the next screen will let me do so.

Also have same problem in 1.4.6 after upgrading from a prior version.

Same problem here on RedHat 9.0 after upgrading via Red Carpet. Old
appointments show in the calendar, but not any new ones that are
added. This applies to all types of events - appointments, meetings,
tasks and all day events.

Probably the same problem as bug 228832.

Go to ximian.com SUPPORT section and look for answer ID#408:
"Why can't I view the Evolution Calendar Day View?"

Following the answer there cleared up my problem. Hopefully it'll do
the same for you as well.

It appears that the calendar and task views are dragged all the way
over to the folder view. So, all you have to do is drag them back over
to the right to reveal the day view. First time I tried, it seemed all
I did was expand the folder view. So you have to be careful where you
click before dragging!

If this solves your troubles, please close this bug & mark it resolved!
