Description Felipe Alfaro Solana 2003-10-06 18:42:04 UTC
Description of Problem:
Evolution LDAP backend does only support anonymous authentication, and
plain authentication by either Distinguised Name or User ID.

I would like to see GSSAPI authentication much like the GSSAPI
authentication of the Camel IMAP provider. OpenLDAP does support a bunch
of authentication mechanisms which are still not supported by Evolution.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Configure a new Directory Server backend.
2. On the General tab, only Anonymous, DN or UID authentication methods
are provided.

Actual Results:
SASL/GSSAPI authentication mechanisms are not support for LDAP-based
backends.

Expected Results:
I would like to see GSSAPI support for the LDAP backend support. Camel
IMAP has GSSAPI support and it works beautifully.

How often does this happen?
Always
