Description marpet 2002-01-15 01:11:56 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 1.0.1
Synopsis: Not supporting other charsets in contacts lists
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook]

Description:
When adding a new item containing characters from other charsets (in my
situation ISO8859-2) to contacts list (in a Contact List Editor) it
fails to display the item properly in various ways according to method
used to add the item:

 - when used drag-and-drop from Contacts to contacts list it dislays the
contents in quoted-printable format;
 - when manually adding an item containing the 'extended' characters it
simply cuts the displayed information before the problematic character.

When the list is used as e-mail recipient though all the characters
appear OK (so it seems a Contact List Editor display bug only).

Wish: the contact items in contacts lists could be editable (add
'Modify' button and make the item contents appear in the editable
textbox when item selected).
