Description hazard 2001-07-04 05:55:25 UTC
Dragging an Email to the Tasks folder should prompt to create a new task
with the text of that email in the description. Similarly, dragging a
Task/Email to the calendar should prompt to create a new appointment

Because of the decision to remap 1.1->1.2 and 1.2->1.4, I'm going to be
moving a large number of bugs around in the bugzilla. You can just
search on 'body contains' 'Because of the decision to remap' and mark
all as read. Please direct all questions about this change to
evolution@ximian.com, not the bug.

Comment 8 Damon Chaplin 2001-12-06 02:03:09 UTC
If the email contains anything other than plain text, we'll need to
convert it, as we only support plain text in the task description.

The alternative is to add it to the task as an attachment, but we
don't have any support for attachments at present and that is even
more work.

Yes we should do this to instantly creating New Tasks and New
Appointments - the D&D should open New Task or New Appointment in Edit
mode but too late for 1.2

Changed milestone to Future

Jeff any updates?
Comment 17 André Klapper 2006-03-30 22:05:48 UTC
we have a mail-to-task plugin nowadays, and drag and drop won't be easy since the 2.0 redesign. this looks like a potential wontfix to me.

jeff, if you're still working on this, please tell us.
