Wow! A 7-year-old bug. It didn't appear when I searched for 'template' in bugzilla, but to be honest, even if it did appear, I would have considered it somehow defunct, perhaps even cursed, and entered a nice fresh bug ...
Hello, I would like to add a vote for this feature. The way I see it, a template-reply feature could work just like the Signature feature. When "replying" to an e-mail, you would be able to pick the template in a drop-down list. This would use the default-reply mode (whether the initial message is quoted or attached or whatever) and simply paste the template message (maybe filling a special code with the name of the initial mail's sender). On the management side, it would be just like signatures. I'm considering the time this could save me and I think it could save around 4 hours per week (I'm a lead developer and I reply to all the users simple enquiries with around 10 different but repetitive answers all the time). I wouldn't mind chipping some money as a bounty for that.

Woo, awesome :).
Yes, great to see your work gets picked up ;-)
Diego, Thanks to you for taking the initiative to put the bricks in place for this plugin. Do try it out and lets fix all issues. Please do provide your comments in here.
Could someone package it for me as a .deb so I can try it out please? I was the first user of Diego's initial development, so I'm also a good guinea-pig, but I'm not a patcher-kind-of-guy.
The patch is tested and ready for commit. Evolution is moving to LGPL V2 & LGPL v3 license. Diego, if you are OK for this change, which we do it after our internal audits, Im gonna commit it for 2.23.5.
Yeah, go ahead :). I'm happy as long as my name is somewhere on it so people can worship me. Btw, kudos to Yannick for funding my original work.
Approved for 2.23.5
