No Xinerama. In GNOME 2.8 applications that are run on the second head are not able to add an icon to the notification area. I have a panel for each head and a notification area added to each panel. This worked fine in GNOME 2.6. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Start any application that would normally have a notification icon on the second head.
