GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 143667
Samba share browser doesn't allow logout or re-login
Last modified: 2012-09-05 19:20:12 UTC
You should be able to log out or re-login when browsing network shares. It might be necessary to login to a share, then login with a different name to a different share.
I think I've seen problems in this area when giving the wrong password as well. I had problems reauthenticating after that.
I need also this feature.
Ubuntu 9.10 / Nautilus 2.28.1 This bug still applies. There is currently no way to reauthenticate to samba shares. Whats making things worse is that once you save a login forever the user has no way of revoking it anymore. Also if a Samba share is accessible via the Guest login the user has no way of authenticating to get more rights to the same share. This is needed badly.
