Description Christian Persch 2004-01-01 13:17:45 UTC
If the user has specified authentication in GNOME control centre's Network
applet, the keys /system/http_proxy/authentication_user and
/system/http_proxy/authentication_password hold the info, but we don't seem
to pass it to mozilla.
Comment 1 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-01-26 19:21:18 UTC
Using keyring seem like a better fix for this now

Comment 3 Christian Persch 2004-07-23 12:24:45 UTC
Reopening since gnome keyring integration won't happen for quite some time.
Comment 4 Christian Persch 2004-07-23 13:17:31 UTC
I though about just adding the user/pass combination to the password manager,
but I need the realm for that, and it's impossible to know it beforehand.

The rpoerted of dup bug 148263 said he had to re-enter the credentials every
time he starts ephy; but as far as I can see, those should be stored in the
password manager!? Any ideas, Marco?
Comment 5 Simon Howard 2004-07-23 13:41:27 UTC
To clarify, it does store them in the password manager, but I'm still prompted
every time I start Epiphany - the dialog pops up with the values filled in but
it is still annoying to have to click "Ok". Proxy settings seem like something
I ought to be able to set and forget about..
Comment 6 Christian Persch 2004-10-13 10:51:52 UTC
Mass reassigning of Epiphany bugs to epiphany-maint@b.g.o
Comment 7 Christian Persch 2004-12-03 19:30:44 UTC
Re-duping since this is impossible to implement without the same backend access
that gnome-keyring integration needs.
