Description Saurav 2003-12-26 04:31:58 UTC
When a new Terminal/Tab is opened from an already opened Terminal by using
         File->New Window/Tab->Default, a new Terminal Window/Tab appears
but is doesn't show the shell prompt. It happens everytime I try.

I am using garnome-0.27.1 on HP-UX 11.00.

I've attached 2 screenshots to illustrate the problem.

Saurav: if you switch back to the first tab and then to the 'empty'
tab, do you get it back?

I get this about once every 10 times I open a tab (fedora core +HEAD
terminal/vte). Maybe a race condition of some sort? dunno. It's really
sort of irritating. :/ Marking 'trivial' because it's technically just
cosmetic, but it's pretty un-professional, so tentatively marking
high. [Mariano, feel free to disagree with me on that one :)

No, switching to the 1st tab and then back to 2nd one doesn't help.

Passing the High priority to a vte bug I'd files a while ago about this.
