Add a tool that draws simple lines, and shapes of x-number of equal length
sides. Think 2-D drafting type function, but would be really helpful for
image creation, too.

IIRC there's a bug-report on this already. I hope you are aware of the
line-drawing functionality of the paint tools and you know that
there's GFig which allows you to do all this already.
