Description Reece Hart 2003-07-23 21:42:48 UTC
Package: gnome-themes
Severity: critical
Version: GNOME2.2.2 2.2.1
os_details: Ximian, Inc.
Synopsis: gnome theme manager crash
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-themes
Bugzilla-Component: General
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)
Description:
Description of Problem:
I installed 6nome (from themes.org), selected it in the theme manager
dialog, and kapow... segv.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. install 6nome (via "Install theme..." button)
2. select it
3.

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
theme change without crash; other theme changes work fine.

How often does this happen?
Only once; I brought up the theme manager again and select 6nome without
problem.

Additional Information:
I've noticed on all 3 of my machines (all RH9 w/ximian desktop 2+xd2 pro) that the theme thumbnails are often garbled and/or false colored. I can often make out a few shapes, but it's definitely not right. It looks more like random corruption (mostly black interlaced lines as if from zeroed memory) than a systematic problem (e.g., image line width wrong causing wrapping), but this of course is difficult to differentiate by eye.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-theme-manager'
