Tablet performance is low with the gimp1.2.4 on windows.  There is
noticeable lag, menu windows do not like being selected, and the smear tool
does not function.

I have a wacom intuos 4X6 (serial).  I have tested it with two drivers:
English - Driver 4.75-8 (RC) for Windows 11/22/2002
English - Driver 4.72-4 for Windows

The duplicate above was a mistake.

This report should probably be reassigned to GTK+. But then, GTK+-1.2
is not maintained any longer so there is nothing we can do here.
Closing as WONTFIX.
