Description Eugene O'Connor 2002-07-09 15:53:47 UTC
The term "CDDB" potentially violates a trademark
and should be removed from the UI.

This problem should be of URGENT priority.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. From the Menu Panel, choose Applications >
Desktop Preferences > Advanced > CDDB.

Actual Results:
* The menu item is called CDDB.
* The window title is CDDBSlave2 Properties

Expected Results:
* The menu item should be called "CD Database"
* The window title should be called "CD Database
Preferences"

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
At http://www.cddb.com/corporate/terms.html, CDDB
Inc. claim that the term "CDDB" is their
trademark. If the term CDDB is being used
generically in the GNOME UI and not specifically
to refer to services provided by CDDB Inc, then
there are potential legal problems for GNOME.

Glynn asked me to rewrite the Desktop Preferences tooltips last week.
The tooltip for CD Database should be as follows:

Modify your CD database preferences
