Description Ivan 2018-05-15 10:31:00 UTC
Sometimes battery status freeze on some state (for example Discharging, x%).
This causes laptop hard shutdown. So I have to periodically look for status changes to know is it freeze or not.

How I can understand that Upower does not get updated status from ACPI.
Internet give me some workaround (run "acpi -V" to manually update status).
Comment 1 Ivan 2018-08-21 12:09:26 UTC
Adding "acpi_osi=Linux" to boot kernel options solves this problem for me.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-power-manager/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
