This wasn't done yet, because of support for older versions. It would need at least some research to figure out which version we want to support, which we require, and which versions are commonly installed in popular distributions.

These tags were deprecated in 2013 by GObject Introspection 1.39
For reference Ubuntu 14.04 has GObject Introspection 1.40
