GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 783594
Using Libravatar as profile picture
Last modified: 2017-06-23 18:38:22 UTC
Hello! Right now, users are allowed to set a profile picture through the non-free Gravatar service. Would it be possible to allow doing the same with Libravatar, which is a similar, but freedom-respecting service? (See link below.) https://www.libravatar.org/
Could you start a thread on the gnome-i18n mailing list about that change? There are currently 137 DL accounts using the gravatar feature.
(In reply to Claude Paroz from comment #1) > Could you start a thread on the gnome-i18n mailing list about that change? > There are currently 137 DL accounts using the gravatar feature. A thread was started several days back and has attracted one reply so far (which was positive). As an interesting excerpt, I found a page which claims that implementing support should be very simple and very similar to what's being done for Gravatar. Fixed in https://git.gnome.org/browse/damned-lies/commit/?id=cde193a5b77cdcb78d4b4b11d3a5bff3748667fb
