GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 771913
[gnome-terminal][wayland] can't tear off tab to new window
Last modified: 2016-09-28 19:08:39 UTC
Under X, dragging a terminal tab to outside the gnome-terminal window area detaches it to a new window. Under Wayland this doesn't work.
I think this was fixed by bug 763387. (Note that DND tab detaching was disabled in gnome-terminal >= 3.20.3 due to it crashing the application.)
Is that crash intermittent (or a recent regression)? I don't think I've ever had a tear-off crash up to 3.20.2 at least.

Since this was tab dnd works under wayland now, lets move this back, then
Ok so this is fixed in gtk+, but disabled (for now) in g-t.
