Description Pacho Ramos 2016-06-29 19:11:27 UTC
That is a problem because it forces our distribution to duplicate the files installed by our unicode-data package: we currently install the .txt files, but this needs also the .zip file without unpacking :/

Could this be changed to also allow to build with the plain .text files?

Thanks
Comment 1 Christian Persch 2016-06-29 20:11:07 UTC
Sure, I'll accept a patch that makes it work for both cases.
Comment 2 Pacho Ramos 2016-06-30 10:07:54 UTC
Debian people is applying this one downstream to achieve the same as we want in Gentoo:

Comment 3 Pacho Ramos 2016-06-30 10:08:46 UTC
But, yeah, they adapt it to bz2... not allow a general way :/

Then, maybe for now we would opt for applying a similar one downstream :|
Comment 4 Pacho Ramos 2016-07-31 09:58:03 UTC
Anyway, why gucharmap asks for Unihan zip even when --disable-unihan is passed as configure option?
Comment 5 Christian Persch 2016-07-31 11:16:53 UTC
Because that option isn't supported anymore. Thanks for reminding me it still existed; I've removed it now.
Comment 6 Christian Persch 2016-09-19 20:09:29 UTC
Should be really easy to do for someone with perl foo.
