Context menu label of VM thumbnail pointing upward under Wayland

Created attachment 316252 [details] Screenshot of the context menu label of a VM thumbnail in GNOME Boxes under Wayland When running GNOME Boxes under Wayland on a fully updated Fedora 23 system, the context menu label of a VM thumbnail is pointing -upward- extending beyond the limits of the application window. In maximized mode, this means that only the menu item "Properties" is visible and can be selected as shown in the attached screenshot. Under Xorg, the context menu label is pointing -downward- as expected and is fully contained inside the application window. Installed packages include: - gnome-boxes-3.18.1-1.fc23 - gnome-shell-3.18.3-1.fc23 - gtk3-3.18.5-3.fc23 - mutter-3.18.2-1.fc23 - xorg-x11-server-Xwayland-1.18.0-2.fc23

I can confirm the problem. It’s been more than a few days. Did you get a chance to verify this, Zeeshan Ali? I’ve not tested the patch, but from reading through the patch it looks like it just moves the problem to instance thumbnails near the bottom of the screen? In that case, it’s not a complete fix.
The context menu label of a VM thumbnail is pointing downward under Wayland for the current GNOME 3.19.4 desktop including gnome-boxes 3.19.4. Thus, the issue has possibly already been fixed some time during the 3.19.x development cycle.
