My composer freezes after I type a few characters into the message body. The first few times, it will recover after several seconds, but eventually it will freeze for good and cause Geary to crash.

I am on Ubuntu 14.10 using Geary 0.8.1 from the Yorba Stable PPA.

I ran Geary from the command line and reproduced the error, but there was no console output.

I suspect you've been bit by the iBus bug:

Does disabling iBus solve your problem?

I added a comment to the ibus bug. Hopefully it'll get addressed soon.
