Fixed in CVS.
Comment 5 Miles Lane 2002-06-07 05:29:18 UTC
Nope. This is not working for me with today's build.

Repro:

I open the applications menu, drag a launcher to a
nautilus window showing "applications:///Other"
and drop.

Result:

The launcher is not added to applications:///Other.
Instead, I see tooltip for the dragged item that sort
of hangs around for about ten seconds before going away.
Comment 6 Luis Villa 2002-06-07 18:09:56 UTC
If a fix for this is found this weekend, great; I'll urge release team
to accept it. But I won't hold up the entire release for it. Punting
to 2.0.1.

Fixed with vfolder rewrite, which can be found on the
gnome-vfs-2-0-vfolder-rewrite branch of gnome-vfs.
Comment 11 Miles Lane 2002-08-08 09:23:30 UTC
Why is the rewrite not in the gnome-vfs-2-0 branch?
Comment 12 Alex Graveley 2002-08-08 10:33:18 UTC
Because its is still buggy and will corrupt .vfolder-info files in a
few corner cases.
