Having the tree view option for the sidebar made nautilus very flexible and much more useful than other file managers. Please return this feature asap.

I do appreciate that some people may not be able to use the feature, or possibly just don't like it, however it is just an option which means if they don't want to use it, they don't have to. Removing options that some people like to use only degrades the application.
